Blood Transfusion.

After Logan's 6a.m. labs came back the doctor prescribed him to have a blood transfusion. He told me that his levels were pretty low and he would require some "new" red blood cells to level everything out. So this morning at 11, they started his first bag. The doctor ordered him to have 80 cc's total, then repeat the test and take it from there. So at 11 he was given 41 cc's, and now 5 hours later he is recieving 44 cc's (5 extra for good luck ;-) ) It will take two and half hours for the blood to run through, then they will repeat the test then. Fingers crossed that his levels will stay in the normal range, but the doctor believes this will do the trick! As of now he isn't losing much blood, just small amounts from his drainage tube. Hopefully that will be coming out tomorrow!
