The night before the cat scan I can remember randomly praying throughout the night! I was cooking dinner and found myself praying while stirring the food! I knew it was going to be a long night because after 1 am Logan couldn't have anything to eat! And my boy is a hungry one, eating every three hours religiously! Connor was off to his granny's house because we had to leave here for 6am and there was no since it making his suffer too! Well at 12:45 I started to feed my sweet angel and made sure that he was done sucking at 1am! I then held him in my arms for quite sometime just holding him and comforting him and of course praying with him. That night my eyes never closed. If I felt tired, I started to pray! At about 4 am Logan was ready to eat, and there was nothing I could do! So I just held him and whispered in his ear every prayer I could remember! Eventually he dozed back off!
At 5:30 I layed him in bed with his daddy and started to pack the diaper bag and get myself ready and by 6:15 we were out the door. When we got there we had to go to the surgery area because he would need to be sedated for the procedure! We had an amazing nurse name Janeen, who was very loving and sweet! Logan got weighted, BP checked, heart rate monitored, and the questions began. They had to do a complete family history about anesthesia and tell us everything that was about to happen! 8 am arrived and it was time! We went down to the CT dept and they decided to try to do the scan with no sedation first-- that was a no go lol.. my baby hated that table! So off to the sedation room! We gave our kissies goodbye "rather see you later" and I handed my angel to a complete stranger who I was forced to trust! Johnny and I were directed to the waiting area and the waiting began! From start to finish it was approximately 30 minutes but it felt like 30 hours! Out walked the anesthesiologist with a smile on her face and she announced "all done!" I was elated! She said "come on" lets go get your baby! When I walked into the recovery room she explained to me that there was no need to fully sedate him because the laughing gas they gave him to start his IV was enough to knock him out! And there he was.. the nurse was giving him a pedialite bottle and he was guzzling away! She asked if I wanted to hold him and I of course did! They came in about 30 minutes later and removed the IV and told us that we were free to go, and so we did..
sleeping so peacefully despite not being able to eat :-/
