X-Rays- July 1, 2010
On July 1st we took Logan to Children's hosptial to have his first X-rays taken! It was very quick and painless and took a little less that 30 minutes for the entire visit! I was told leaving there that his pediatrician would call with the results from the scan. The very next day July 2nd I got the phone call that I was eagerly anticipating! I heard the words leave her mouth " it looks as though Logan has a premature closing of the saggital suture, also known as saggital synostosis!" Again, even though I was expecting it I felt the lump form in my throat again along with the extreme nausea and sunken heart! She asked me if I had any questions and I reluctantly said "no", even though I did! I hurried her off the phone, grabbed my sweet boy and let the tears that I was holding back just flow! Big brother Connor was sitting at his coloring table and mocked me crying, layed his face in his hands and repeated the crying sound! I then realized that I had to be strong, not only for Logan's sake, but for my sweet Connor too! I hugged both of my boys and just began to pray! Dear God, help me through this, I am scared, no, terrified and I need reassurance that everything will be okay! After my moment to myself I picked up the phone and called his pediatrician back! I apologized to her for hurrying her off the phone and told her that I indeed had questions-- and I asked away!
